Fred Frappiea's Biography
Fred is my uncle, my dad's little brother. He graduated in 1966 from Bellows Falls High School. Bellows Falls Vermont. He enlisted in the US Army and reported for training in April 1967. After basic and airborne school he was transferred to Vietnam in Dec 1967. On Mar 22, 1968 he was killed by a rocket round. His brother (my dad a marine who was in Japan after Vietnam) escorted his body home. Because they have different last names the connection was not realized until my dad's commander asked him if he would like to go home with the condition of escorting a body, his brother. I believe there is a reason for everything in life, otherwise life would be way to difficult to bear and understand, but I have always wished this story was different, I always wanted to know my Uncle Freddy. That would have been very nice.
